Old Town Hall

The historic Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus), Bonn's showpiece, is located behind the University directly by the market. The building with the decorated rococo facade houses the offices and representative rooms of the mayor.

During Bonn's era as a capital city many official visitors and heads of state were received here such as John F. Kennedy, Queen Elizabeth II. or Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary, who entered their names in the CIty's Golden Book.
