Geburt- stag. Der meistgespielte klassische Komponist der Welt wurde 1770 in Bonn geboren und hat hier 22 Jahre gelebt. Beethoven ist in seiner Geburtsstadt überaus präsent. Sein Geburtshaus in der Bonngasse zählt zu den meistbesuchten Musikermuseen weltweit. Im Dezember 2019 wurde es mit einer zeitgemäßen, völlig neu gestalteten Daueraus- stellung wiedereröffnet und lädt zu einer emo- tionalen und erlebnisorientierten Begegnung mit Beethoven ein. Neben dem Museum bilden der benachbarte moderne Kammermusiksaal, das Forschungszentrum Beethoven-Archiv, ein haus- eigener Verlag und nicht zuletzt die einzigartige Sammlung gemeinsam das Ensemble Beethoven- Haus, das sich als Beethoven-Kompetenzzen- trum einen internationalen Ruf erworben hat. On 17.12.2020, Germany celebrated with the whole world Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday. The world's most-played classical composer was born in Bonn in 1770 and spent here the first 22 years of his life. Beethoven heritage is lively present in his city of birth. His birthplace in the Bonngasse is one of the most visited museums in the world which are dedicated to a musician. In December 2019, it was reopened with a completely redesigned, and modernized perma- nent exhibition, thus inviting visitors to an emotional very much personal encounter with Beethoven. In addition to the museum, the neighbouring modern chamber music hall, the Beethoven Archive research center, and the in-house Beethoven publisher and last but not least, the unique collection are form the one of a kind Beethoven-Haus ensemble. Likewise it has therefore earned an international reputation as a Beethoven center of excellency. „Beethoven zählt zu den Wegbereitern einer freiheitlich demokratischen Entwicklung, die er musikalisch vorwegnahm.
